Reading the Route Diagram
Every lane, protocol badge, fee tier, hop, and per-lane output at a glance.
Reading the Route Diagram
Expanding the Route row under any quote reveals a multi-lane diagram of exactly how the trade will execute.
Anatomy of a lane
Each row of the diagram is one lane of the split:
[inToken] — [pill: protocol + %] — [hop: pair + fee] … — [outToken] outAmount
- Input token terminal — the token you're selling, at the far left.
- Protocol pill — labels the lane's protocol (
v2,v3,v4, or a mix likev3+v4) and its percent share of the total trade. - Hop nodes — each hop shows the input/output pair icons and the pool fee tier (e.g.
0.3%). Multi-hop lanes have several hop nodes chained together. - Intermediate token badges — between hops, the intermediate token is labeled with its icon and symbol.
- Output token terminal — the token you're receiving, at the far right.
- Per-lane output — the amount this lane contributes to the total, shown at the far right of each row.
Special indicators
- A small amber dot on a hop node marks a hooked Uniswap v4 pool.
- Lanes are sorted by descending share — the biggest slice of your trade is on top.
What this tells you
At a glance you can confirm:
- Which protocol versions are being used.
- Which pools are being touched.
- Where the bulk of your size is going.
- Whether your trade goes through an intermediate token (e.g. USDG) rather than direct.
Every lane you see here corresponds one-to-one with a call the settlement contract will make on-chain.
